After choosing with Cristiano the colors of the event and the stylistic concept that we wanted to give to our wedding, I have simply mixed cards and lace to obtain the perfect invitation for us. 

It reflects us from the first to the last characteristic, the graphic draft was entirely realized by myself, the printing was entrusted to professionals and friends who have put up with me and pleased me over and over, the patience to wrap papers and lace is instead represented by my little sister who, armed with good will and really a lot of love, has realized a wonderful thing. I will never thank her enough. After many chats, as it’s not a secret anymore, here are the photos of our DIY invitations!!! I hope you lithe them I obviously do!

Sometimes, when I’m shooting the wedding of two particularly close people, I think about the tenderness of the moment and I ask myself if there’s a bigger emotion, for couples, than exchanging endless promises and celebrating, in front of everybody, their own love.
Some days ago I got the answer.

I get a phone call from Veronica, a really nice and funny girl, who was one of our brides last year in Castello di Vincigliata. You know, Veronica and Roberto (her husband) are expecting a baby and they asked us to picture this particular moment with a photo session. What to say: news always conquer us and are also a big chance to grow that let us put ourselves to test…and then I was so curious to see Veronica big-belled! I agreed with enthusiasm and we fixed the date and the place: a late Monday afternoon plunged into a wood nearby their house.

Maybe some of you could wonder what’s the point between a wood and a future mommy, but I guarantee it was the perfect scenery: in the centre of this wide and uncultivated background, Roberto and Veronica’s tenderness with their baby in her womb (well: it’s going to be a baby boy!) was really standing out, and that let us take wonderful pictures, to say the least. Useless to say that the newly weds were almost on another planet, all collected in their thoughts for the baby and thousands of cares for her and her round belly. Veronica was bright, Roberto very sweet and funny as always.

For once we pictured a different emotion: the consciousness of a love that’s developing and extending, a love that from exclusive and mutual broadens out to as third creature, same but different, natural extension of a couple.

Here’s to you our first photo session : “Maternity”!

The very first thing to do is to decide which will be the so-called colours’ palette for your wedding, or for any other event you are organizing. When we say colours’ palette we simply mean that group of colours, that shortlist of shades that you’ll choose, where any other “stylistic” choice will be based on. Flower decorations, coordinated image (that is to say the graphics for the invitation cards, for the menus, for the tableau de marriage, etc….), tablecloth and serviettes, marriage favors and the list could go on forever.
The task is, as you can easily guess, very tough: not only because choosing a colour means stating the complete style that you’re going to give to a ceremony, even a lot of time before it will be realized, but it can also show us that it’s not granted that we are all ( on the contrary, only few are) great at putting together several nuances that will not come out as banal or even kitsch.
Examples: matching several shades of blue ( aqua marine, sky-blue and night-blue) is ordinary and quite ugly. Matching purple, bright blue and lemon yellow is kitsch.
These are just a couple of examples, it’s not my will to exclude these colours from those available for the realization of a setting of taste, quite the opposite!
It’s just to let you understand that often people don’t realize that matching or choosing colours can be harder than they expect.
That’s why, through these few lines, I would like to give some “little suggestions” to those who are a little uncertain about this subject. Also this time the magic world of the web comes forward us with a list of very useful internet sites that will help us not to create colours’ patchworks that could clash with what will be the entire setting of the event. A great example is the site www.colorschemedesigner.com that lets you give a look at the endless shades of a single colour, or match two, three and even four of them, so that you won’t fail the entire “palette”.
Right under here you’ll find some photographic collages to best explain, through the images, (certainly more effective than many words) what we mean by colours’ palette, but mostly what it means to connect such palette with the organization of an event. Choose your colours and have fun!
